Regions
There are three types of regions. The first one is a formal region, this is when an area In which everyone shares one or more common characteristics. Take for example languages, everyone would speak the same language. The second on is a functional region. This is a region that is focused around one vocal point. An example for this is the New York Times. Also when regions are known for a certain crop, this is the same idea. The last region is a Vernacular region, this is an area in which all of the population believe that the area shaped who they are today such as distinct environmental, social, and political differences. A good example for this is a republican or democratic state. Another example is when most of the population has an accent.
