Population and Settlement

          Today in class we talked about the life and death ratio on the globe. It was fascinating to hear the truth about how many people are born and die in the span of less than one minute. I would expect it to be fast, but not that fast! There are 7.5 billion people on the globe today which is crazy in itself too. The population is increasing by 73 million a year! All of those people are born in one year. I personally thought it was crazy that one year I was a part of that insanely large number. To think that I am so irrelevant and so important at the same time is crazy. 90% of the world's population growth takes place in very poor, not yet developed, countries. Mainly becuase of how they don't have much else to rely on except for having children and staying alive. It is a totally different place out there and I cant imagine what it would be like to be one of them.
