mobility
Today in class we talked about mobility and other forms of moving. Mobility refers to all types of movements. Short term and repetitive acts of mobility are referred to as circulation. There are two main types of movement. The first one is migration which is a permeant move to another country. The second one is emigration, which is when you leave a country. It does not count if you just leave a state, it has to be a country. Ravenstines law is how far migrants typically move. There are two types of migration, international migration and internal migration. Internal migration is the movement in the same country. The second one is international migration which is to move from one country to another. Approximately 9% of the world's population are international migrants. The main country for net out migration are Asia, Latin America, and Africa. The major areas for net in migration are North America, Europe, and Oceania.
