Peter's Projection

                In class we learned about the new type of map that are used in public schools in Boston. This new map is different because it show a more relevant comparison of all of the countries. The old map model called the Mercator Projection which belittles certain countries by making them smaller than their real sizes. This was very surprising to me becuase I never knew this about the map that we have used all through out my childhood. The first time I saw the new map I thought it was wrong, but the more I heard about it, the more I believe it and believe that we should use them in all schools around the world. I know that many others will agree with me when I say that everyone should be using the Peter's Projection in their class rooms. We also discussed that most maps use a scale to show how many exact miles are between two points on the map. This is very useful because most of the time we do not know the exact distance between two points in the world.
